Is there an age limit?
Yes, participants in the Summer Internship should be between the ages of 18-28.
How long does it last and what is the schedule like?
The Summer Internship is similar to UF’s Summer A schedule. It starts Monday 5/11 and ends Saturday 6/20. Every Summer Intern is committed to be present Sunday-Thursday for an average of 55 hours a week. Friday and Saturday are off days.
Can I work or take classes at the same time?
No, unfortuntaly you cannot. We’ve found that the experience diminishes significantly if you aren’t fully committed to the schedule.
Why do I have to pay?
The Summer Internship experience is fine tuned to help you develop the relationship with God you’ve always wanted, and there are costs associated with your 6 weeks of discipleship. The good news is, 100% of what you pay goes directly back to your development; we don’t profit a dime.
How can I afford to make the investment?
Don’t let money be the only reason you don’t participate! If you’re in a difficult financial position, there are a few things you can do to help:
1) For starters, we offer two different payment plans. a) Pay in full. b)Pay half when you start and the other half by the time you finish.
2) You are also welcome to raise financial support, similar to how you would for a mission trip. We offer advice to help, and we must know in advance if you plan to do this.
Is financial assistance available?
We typically do not offer financial assistance in the form of scholarships, however we are more than happy to sit down and work out a flexible payment plan that fits your needs.
Will the church provide housing?
No, the church does not provide housing for the Summer Internship.
Do I need a car?
You do not necessarily need a car, but you will need a reliable way to get to the church each day.
